KAILASH TOUR VIA LHASA

KAILASH TOUR VIA LHASA

Introduction

Kailash Tour via Lhasa has been meticulously planned by Leaf Holidays Trek to discover both Tibet’s Historical cities and Pilgrimage sites. Lhasa in Tibetan jargon also means holy Land. The known height of Lhasa is 3650m. Lhasa is the olden capital of the Tibet Autonomous region. The cultural and religious customs of the Tibetan people dates back to ancient times and is still in practice in Lhasa to this day, despite Chinese occupation. The Potala Palace dates back to the 7th century and is said to be an architectural work of genius that was once the seat of power and the religious nerve center of Tibet. Factually meaning “place of the gods,” Lhasa and the spiritual inclination of its inhabitants is highly influenced by Buddhism which lends a tranquil atmosphere to this great mystic city.

Ancient Lhasa, at an altitude of 3650m, is one of the highest cities on earth and this is where our tour begins from. Our holy journey introduces you to the winter palace [Potala] of the Dalai Lama. Lhasa is one of the most populated cities in the Tibetan Plateau and is known for its religious and ancient monasteries, palaces, monuments, and souks. Our tour also covers famous monasteries such as Sera and Drepung which is one of the highlights of this trip. The steamy Barkhor streets offer you the prospects of doing ‘Kora’ (a religious circle of a holy building or mountain) joining the cue of other visitors and pilgrims. Our Lhasa Kailash  tour also takes us to the unspoiled Mansarovar Lake, another revered site close to Mt. Kailash. We explore and immerse ourselves within the tranquil atmosphere of the very old and culturally rich auspicious mountain on this trip.

The curtain gently drops as our tryst with the gods end after a 3 days holy trek around Mount Kailash and a splendid drive through the barren expanses of the Tibetan plateau to Lhasa, after which we board our flight back home or onward to Kathmandu. Leaf Holidays Trek always endeavors to plan exceptional holidays of any kind for you to enjoy experiences throughout your life. Hard earned Experiences over the years have taught us to understand the human side of our customers’ needs and we are always constantly working to make sure you enjoy vacations beyond your expectations…
