Introduction

Mount Kailash means “precious jewel of eternal snow” has remained as a place shrouded in mystery and legend is situated to the north of the Himalayan barrier ranges; at an altitude of 22028 ft. (6714 m). This is the legendary snow-shrouded rock dome which is revered by four different religions as one of the most sacred pilgrimage destinations in Asia.

The sources for four of South Asia’s greatest rivers are nearby, and at the base of the mountain are two vast lakes, Manasarovar and Rakshas Tal.

Mount Kailash is regarded as the inchantic place of Lord Shiva and an earthly manifestation of Mount Meru, their spiritual center of the universe. Mount Kailash is known to the Tibetans as Gang Rimpoche or by its aboriginal name, Ti-se. From the slopes of Mount Meru a stream it is said to pour into Mapham Yumtsho, and from this lake flow four rivers in the four cardinal directions towards the oceans: the Senge Khabab (rivers from Lion Mouth) to the north, the Tamchok Khabab (river from the Horse Mouth), to the east, The Mapcha Khabab (river from the Peacock Mount) to the south, and the Langchen Khabab (river from the Elephant Mouth) to the west.

These mythical rivers are now associated with the four major rivers originating near Mount Kailash: the Indus, the Brahmaputra, The Karnali, and the Sutlej, respectively. Mount Kailash also has a special association with the poet saint Milerepa, who spent several years here meditating in caves. Mount Kailash is sacred to the Bon religion as well. Thus Mount Kailash is the legend and masterpiece of World.

To process your Tibet Group Visa, we need:

• A clear color scan copy of your passport along with 25% Advance payment. This must be provided to us at least 30 Days in advance.

Packing List for Your Kailash Yatra

• Any regular medicines that you take.
• Enough Clothing for the whole yatra
• A small Bag for day use.
• Toiletries kit like soap, Shampoo, toothbrush, towels etc.
• A good water bottles.
• Sports Shoes (Comfortable one for walking)
• Sun glass
• Sun cream.
• Raincoat or Umbrella.
• Torch Light.
• Woolen Socks.
• Thermal Long underwear (Easy one while walking)

Detailed Itinerary

  • Day : 1 Arrival in Kathmandu (1300 Meters)

    Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport in Kathmandu Nepal, Leaf Holidays Trek Pvt.Ltd’s representative will welcome you at airport and transfer to the hotel. Check in to the hotel and evening short briefing about your tour. Dinner at Hotel, Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day : 2 Kathmandu-Temples Tour.

    After your breakfast at hotel we drive for sightseeing in Kathmandu, Including Pashupatinath Temple (The Biggest Hindu Temple), Guheshwori Devi and Sleeping Vishnu (Buddhanilkantha) and after temple tour drive back to hotel. Lunch and free for your own. Dinner at Hotel, Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day : 3 Kathmandu to syabrubesi (2900 Meters-175 Km, 08-09 Hours Drive).

    Very early in the morning we depart from Kathmandu to Nepal/China Border (Timure/Syabrubesi) by reserved tourist bus. One the way we will provide you Lunch at Nepal/China border (It takes about 6/7 Hour to reach Nepal/China border). After Lunch Continue drive to syabrubesi ,overnight at syabrubesi Guest House.

  • Day : 4 Syabrubesi to Kerung

    After breakfast we will hedding to border and meet Tibetan guide. At the immigration will check visa of all group by Chinese visa department. Than after 38km drive to Kerung by Bus. This day you will be stay in kerung for acclimataization day... Overnight stay at Guest House in Kerung.

  • Day : 5 Kerung to Saga(4400 Meters)

    After Breakfast in Kerung our journey will start for Sanga. We will provide pack lunch in between. We will go through Lalungla Pass (16000 Ft), Paigu-tso lake and Brahmaputra river. Overnight stay at Guest House in Saga.

  • Day : 6 Saga to Manasarovar (4558 Meters, 275 Km, 06– 07 Hours Drive)

    After Breakfast we drive to Manasarovar Lake. Today is the very special day because you are going to Have Darshan of the Holy Mt.Kailash and Manasarovar Lake. We drive through Mayumula pass (17000Ft), we will provide you pack lunch in between. You will have parikarma of Manasarovar lake by bus.. Overnight stay at Guest House in Manasarovar.

  • Day : 7 Manasarovar to Darchen (4575 Meters- 40 Km, 01 Hour Drive)

    In the morning we will have special puja and bath in Manasarovar. We will find the special point to take dip in Manasarovar and do puja of lord Shiva. Then Drive to Darchen. Overnight stay at hotel in Darchen.

  • Day : 8 Darchen to Yamadwar and Trek to Derapuk (4900 Meters –12 Km, 05-06 Hours Trek)

    After an early breakfast we drive to Tarboche Yamdwar Darshan & Start Parikarima (Those who do not wish go for parikarma can back to Darchen after puja at Yamdwar). It is about 12 Km and it will take 05 to 06 Hours. We will provide you pack Lunch in between. Overnight stay at Guest House in Derapuk.

  • Day : 9 Derapuk to Zuthulpuk via Drolma La Pass (4760m Meters, 22 Km, 8-9 hours Trek).

    Today we will wake up very early in the morning and have breakfast then we will start our trek. Hardest day but Holiest day too of your pilgrimage trip with Dolma-La pass of 18600 Ft between two valleys. Yamasthal should be crossed to reach the Shiva sthal, there is the symbolical death, pilgrimage leave old clothes, spin of hair or a drop of Blood in hope, that terrible Yamraja (The master of death) will attention to these signs and will allow the Yatries (travelers) to be born in spirit to pass Dolma- La.After crossing Dolma-La descent steeply to get to the banks of the Lham-chu Khir River. We will follow the river and get to the Khando Sangam La facing the eastern side of Mt. Kailash. Sometime after that, we will be at the village of Zuthulpuk. In between we will provide pack lunch. And dinner at guest house. Overnight stay at Guest House in Zuthulpuk.

  • Day : 10 End Kailash Kora. Drive back to Saga.

    After an early breakfast at Guest House we will be exploring the caves and temples around the Milarepa cave then 3 Hours walk to complete our Kailash Parikarma and drive back to darchen. Lunch in darchen and drive back to Saga. Overnight stay at Guest House.

  • Day : 11 Drive Back to Kerung/Syabrubesi.

    After Breakfast at Saga, we will drive back to Kerung about 3 hour and have lunch at kerung .Dinner at Hotel. Overnight stay at Kerung or Syabrubesi

  • Day : 12 Drive Back to Kathmandu.

    Breakfast at Hotel in syabrubesi and we will drive to Kathmandu about 7 to 8 hour. Will be lunch on the way at Triusuli . Overnight stay at Hotel in Kathmandu.

  • Day : 13 Final Departure

    After Breakfast at Hotel. Check out hotel and Leaf Holidays Treks & Expedition Pvt.Ltd’s representative will take you to the Tribhuvan International Airport for your final departure.
